The Rubik’s Cube is a colorful 3D puzzle and brain teaser that’s become a global icon, including among puzzle lovers in Bandung. With six vibrant faces made up of smaller squares, the challenge lies in twisting and turning the cube to return each face to a single, solid color. More than just a toy, the Rubik’s Cube is a symbol of focus, logic, and perseverance—uniting generations in the thrill of solving one of the world’s most famous puzzles.
Step 1: Understand the Cube
A standard Rubik’s Cube has 6 faces, each made up of 9 squares, and center pieces that never move.
Each face is a different color, and the goal is to make all 6 faces match.
Step 2: Solve the White Cross
Start by making a plus sign (+) with white edge pieces around the white center.
Make sure each edge also matches the center color of the adjacent side.
Step 3: Solve the White Corners
Place white corner pieces between the correct edge colors to complete the first layer (the whole white face and its border).
Step 4: Solve the Middle Layer Edges
Use algorithms to move the edge pieces (without disturbing the completed white face) and match them to the second layer.
Step 5: Make a Yellow Cross on the Top
Use a sequence of moves to create a yellow cross on the top face.
Step 6: Solve the Yellow Corners
Position the yellow corners in the correct spot (even if not yet rotated correctly).
Step 7: Rotate the Yellow Corners
Twist the yellow corner pieces until the top face is all yellow.
Step 8: Solve the Final Edges
Move the last layer’s edge pieces into the correct position to complete the cube.
